Bereavement Specialist

Heather, our trained Bereavement Specialist offers consistent support for grieving families. She has an understanding perspective, as she has experienced the loss of her own child. After the passing of a baby, a beautiful memory box, containing tangible keepsakes of the baby, including footprints, and hand and foot molds, is presented to the family.

Heather recognizes that grief needs to be shared. This realization led her to start a monthly loss support group for parents. The group is held on the 4th Thursday of each month at 7:00 p.m. in the Northwest Plaza at Utah Valley Regional Medical Center. For more questions about the support

Remembrance Walk:

The Saturday before Mother’s Day of each year, we hold a special gathering of families held to honor the babies who have died. The annual Remembrance Walk is held at Thanksgiving Point Gardens. Families have an opportunity to meet others who have experienced a loss, stroll through the gardens, take part in a ceremony to honor their loved ones, and enjoy light refreshments. Families are invited to return to this event each year as a special time to remember and honor the memory of their infant.
